NEW STUDIO CELEBRATION AND OPEN HOUSE

Sunday, March 24, 12–5 p.m.

411 New York Avenue NE, Third Floor
Washington, D.C. 20002

MICHELINE KLAGSBRUN
RAYE LEITH
The Tuesday Night Group
and more...

Please enter through the side of the building. If you are driving east on New York Avenue, heading out of town, cross the major intersection with Florida and First (past McDonalds), drive up the bridge past the construction, and turn right on 4th Street NE (the first traffic light you see). PNC Bank is on that corner. As soon as you have turned, make an immediate left turn into the parking area of 411 NY Ave. (The General Type building). Drive around to the far side to enter.

Park anywhere around the building. If there are no spaces, there should be plenty more parking available at PNC Bank or in the adjacent Union Market area.

Plan to visit the renovated Union Market building too - enjoy the new Oyster Bar, artisanal cheeses, a local creamery and bakery, handmade cupcakes, TaKorean,  sandwiches, spices, a wine bar and many more artisanal foods, drinks and crafts.

Breaking the Chain of Suffering

Our suffering was not caused by our parents or grandparents. It was merely passed down. We are social animals. We grow through modeling. We teach what we have learned. We act as we have been acted upon. A person who is not loving has not experienced love. It is not his fault. Realizing this gives rise to forgiveness. And in Chan we vow that suffering will stop with us. We will not pass it down.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

RACE

I saw Mamet's play "Race" at the DCJCC this afternoon. Excellent. One of the best plays I've seen in a spell. A strong cast. Ari Roth does it again with Theater J.

I must have missed the movie trailer.
Why is North Korea such a serious threat to the US now?
Did we kick sand in someone's face in the playground last week?

Union Station

After all the arrivals and departures
It’s just you and the homeless
If there was a ticket in your pocket-
Where would you go?
The small black bag at your feet
Wags its tail
